Park Impact Fee

Beginning October 7, 2005, a Park Fee of $250.00 per housing unit will be assessed at the time a building permit is issued for all new construction within the Village of Campbellsport.

Based on a Public Facilities Needs Assessment study done by Martenson & Eisele, Inc in 2005, the Village of Campbellsport will assess a park fee of $250.00 per housing unit for every one-family, duplex or two-family, multi-family or condominium unit.  A housing unit shall be defined as a house, apartment, mobile home, trailer, group of rooms, or single room occupied or intended for occupancy as separate living quarters. Separate living quarters are classified as a place where the occupants do not live and eat with any other person in the structure. This fee would apply to all building permits on vacant lots of record and to all building permits issued for the addition of housing units on lots with existing improvements after the adoption of a Park Fee Policy.  For instance, a one-family home is a single housing unit and would pay $250.00, a duplex equals two housing units and pays $500.00, an existing one-family home being converted into a duplex equals one additional housing unit and would pay $250.00, a 4 unit condo equals four housing units and pays $1,000.00, and so on. This fee may be updated periodically by the Village Board.

Following adoption of a Subdivision Ordinance, a Park fee for each housing unit (as described above) in a pending final plat (including certified survey mapped lots) shall be paid in full prior to the Village Board meeting at which the plat or certified survey map is to be given final approval.

A park fee in either case will not be charged for remodeling permits or for new construction involving elderly housing units that do not provide separate living quarters as defined above or for nursing homes or other similar institutions occupied by residents who are incapable of utilizing park facilities or walking trails.

The Village of Campbellsport adopted a Subdivision Ordinance on September 28, 2005.   The ordinance was published in the Campbellsport News on October 6, 2005 and is now in full force and effect.
