April 2010. In commemoration of Arbor Day, area landscaper Gary Seefeld and Campbellsport Department of Public Works personnel transplant an oak tree from the village nursery to a location behind ball diamond #2 in Columbus PARC. The oak replaces a maple that had died the previous summer.
The tree spade makes it possible to efficiently transplant even fairly large trees.
February 2006 - Crews provide some badly needed tree maintenance in Fireman's Park and throughout the village. Thanks to a DNR tree grant, Campbellsport will also be able to start replacing some of the trees it's had to remove over the years.
Arbor Day 2006 - Diane Clark of the Campbellsport Department of Public Works plants a 'spring snow crab' tree in the village's tree nursery on the grounds of the Wastewater Treatment Plant. The nursery was made possible by a grant from the Wisconsin DNR.
June 8, 2006, Village crews are seen here planting a ginkgo tree on Main Street. Five street trees were planted to replace columnar maples that needed to be removed.
"A little to the right..." Tom Weis of the Village Department of Public Works eyes things up. Crews started this project before 6:00 a.m. and were able to get all the trees in ahead of morning traffic.
