Winter Parking in the Village of Campbellsport

Village Ordinance § 464.21

 

November 15 through March 31

2:30 a.m. - 5:00 a.m.

There shall be no parking of any type of vehicle on any street, highway, alley, or any terrace within the Village.

 

FEES

-1st - 3rd offenses within one winter season, $30

     *If paid after 10 days, fee increases to $40

     *If paid after 25 days, fee increases to $55

-4th or more offenses within one winter season, $40

     *If paid after 10 days, fee increases to $80

     *If paid after 25 days, fee increases to $120

 

REGISTRATION SUSPENSION

If parking citation is not paid after 25 days, Wisconsin Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) will be notified to suspend any and all vehicle registrations held by the owner of the vehicle that was issued the citation. 

 

IMPEDING SNOW REMOVAL

Any vehicle impeding snow removal between 2:30 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. during winter parking restrictions may be cited; first violation in a winter season will be between $100 to $200; second or subsequent offense in the same winter season will be fined between $200 and $300. The Police Department may order vehicles to be towed at owner's expense.

 

SNOW EMERGENCIES 

Upon declaration of a snow emergency, parking will be prohibited at all times on any street, highway, alley, or any terrace within the Village. The Director of Public Works, or in his/her absence, any member of the Police Department, may authorize immediate removal of any vehicle in violation, and the costs of removal and subsequent storage shall be paid by the owner of the vehicle before the vehicle is released back to the owner.
