Village of Campbellsport Annual Budget - Hows it work?

The Village of Campbellsport's annual budget consists of the following sections: 

  • General Fund (Funded through local municipal taxes)
    • Village Hall (General Government - Administration)
    • Campbellsport Police Department
    • Department of Public Works (Neighborhood Services: Streets, Parks, Garbage)
    • Transfers to Other Departments (Library, Fire Department, and the Campbellsport Athletic Association)
  • Library Fund (Funded partially through local municipal taxes)
  • Capital Projects Fund (Funded through local municipal taxes, applicable grants and special assessments)
    • Improvements to our streets (non-utility-based improvements), parks and facilities (non-utility-based improvements)
  • Debt Service Fund (Funded through local municipal taxes)
  • Fire and Ambulance Fund (Funded through local municipal taxes and revenues generated from contracts and calls for service)
    • Fire and ambulance services are contracted to the Towns of Auburn, Ashford and Osceola. Ambulance services are contracted to the Village and Town of Eden. 
  • Tax Increment District #1 Fund (Funded through TID #1 specific taxes)

2025 OPERATING AND CAPITAL BUDGETS - PROPOSED AND APPROVED

The annual operating and capital budgets are reviewed by the Village of Campbellsport Finance Committee, published in The Campbellsport News, heard at a public hearing, and approved by the Village Board every year. 

This year, the Finance Committee reviewed the budget on Wednesday, October 23rd, and Wednesday, November 6th at Village Hall. The budget summary was published in The Campbellsport News the week of November 6th, and a public hearing was held on Monday, November 11th.
